Couple of months back i switched jobs and my passport does not have the visa stamping from the current employer. I plan to go to India in november this year and was wondering whether i have to go for visa stamping at US consulate in India. The H1B visa stamp from my previous employer is valid till June , 2007 . can i travel to india without getting the h1b visa stamped for my current employer? can anyone advise. Also if anyone has experience getting the visa stamped in Canada, Mexico.

TIA
Rahul

I too have the same question.
I am 99% sure you can show the old visa & new approval & new I-94 at the port of entry.

-------------------------- you dont need new Visa stamp as you have valid Visa stamp through employer A, when you come back to US at POE show the valid visa in passport AND H1 Transfer approval and you will get I-94 till your H1 Transfer approval notice. but after June , 2007 if you go out you will need Visa Stamp to enter US.

can anyone advise.
Also if anyone has experience getting the visa stamped in Canada, Mexico.
--------------Many are getting search the threads

-YES

& new I-94 at the port of entry.
-----one GETS I-94 at POE
**** one has to Surrender ALL the I-94 before you go out (make the copy of all I-94 (front and back and keep for your future records)
