H1B staying in US no Salary Slip

I am working here in US for a IT company. I came here on short term assignment for 5 months. Company is giving me accommodation n car n everything. I am getting per diems here in US in USD and I am also getting paid my Indian salary in India. I am not getting any pay slips in US as I am only being paid per diems.

Is it legal to stay in US on H1 Visa without Pay slips and so what If I want to switch to some other Company in the US itself. Will my new employer be requiring my US salary slips to Transfer my H1 Visa.

NO. It is not legal.

USCIS needs atleast 3 pay stubs before any transfer of your H1. If you cross Dec in any year you may have to have W2 also as evidence.
