H1B Stamp Expired but I-797 and I-94 is Still Valid ?

Hi,
I am thinking of getting my H1B stamp in New Delhi. My older H1B with a previous employer expired in January 2002. My I-797 and I-94 however are both valid till September 2002 and I have all the documents from my employer on my job etc.

Is that an issue when renewing a visa or do they only look at the validity of the I-797/I-94 etc. ?

You can renew the stamp (revalidation it is called) even after expiry of the previous H1 stamp as long as you have a valid H1 approval and a valid I94 to go along with..
