H1B revalidation & I-94 renewal

h1bquestion

New Member
Hi,

I have a question regarding my H1B visa. I changed job from Company A to B last year. I travelled to India and came back after that using the old visa in my passport. Visa stamped on my passport (from Company A) and I94 are expiring in June.

What is the best approach for me now ? Should I just revalidate my visa from the state department ? Will I get a new I-94 when the visa is re-validated ?

My company's attorney says I have to apply for a new H1 since my I-94 is based on the old Company's (A) visa. Is it true ?

Hope someone here has some experience about it or know about it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
ATP

***--- When you entered the US with company A visa sticker on your passport you had the H1B approval Notice with you and shoeing that Company B H1b validly you could have got new I-94 till the validity of company B h1

--- Department will not issue you new I-94

------- If you have Company B H1B valid then go to border post and re-enter showing your Company B approval notice and you will get new I-94 till the validity of Company b h1 approval notice.( go to border post and re-enter before your Visa sticker in your passport expires from company A, keep the new employer letter and recent Paystubs with you, show only if asked)
once you get it done then you can revalidate your Visa till the H1b approval and I-94 date (I hope you transferred the H1b from A to B and your new H1 transfer or approval notice had the new I-94 attached with it, see the lower right potion of your H1 approval notice)
