The company I have been working for past 3 years had applied for H1-B renewal. I looked up on the H1 tracking today, it says that my H1-B has been renewed.

In the mean time I have found another employer who is willing to do my H1-B. I have 2 questions.

1. Can I apply for visa at st louis based on my current companies H1-B renewal?
2. When can I start work with second company - as soon as they apply or do I have to wait till its approved like in current condition.

If you need a H visa in passport, it is better to apply for second company visa after you get the visa stamped from St. Louis.

If visa (no travel planned) is not important, you can apply for the new company visa and join that company immediately.

Thank you for replying to my questions. Just wanted to clear that if I apply for visa with H1 from 1st company while 2nd company is doing my new h1, are there chances of it getting rejected?
