Hi Sir,
I am currently on my 7th year H1B and soon will expire on May 2007. I have more than 365days pending Labor Cert. that was used to extend 1 year after my 6th years H1B.

My question is, I just found out recently on BCIS website that I had approved I-140 from my previous employer back in year 2000, when I checked using the WAC number from the receipt I have with me, but I dont have the approval notice. Given, that I have approved I-140 already can I use that approved I-140 to request for 3 year extension for my 8th renewal year H1B? What's is the chance that BCIS will grant me a 3 year extension?

Thank you so much for your response.

Since I dont have a copy of approved I-140, Can I personally request from BCIS to send me a copy? My previous employer who filed this I-140 was shutdown 4 years ago, and no way that I can get a copy from previous employer?

I 140 belongs to yur previous company, only your previous company authorized signatory can request USCIS or thier attorney.

Try calling the attorney

The attorney for your previous employer might be able to help.
It doesen't hurt to call them and request for a copy.

Thank you folks!!! Unfotunately, this has been 4 or 5 years ago and I dont have any contacts at all to the employer since it was shutdown already neither the attorney who worked this out.

Do you think I can use the priority date of this I-140 even though I dont have the approval notice?
