Hi,

I will be laid off next week on August 1 2003, im working on an H1b visa now. I have the following questions:

1. How long do I have to look for another job to transfer my visa? My current employer will not notify the INS of my termination.
2. My fiancee has an H1B, if we get married will they ask me for my paystubs to transfer to H4 to prove that I was still legal on my H1??
3. Can i get my H4 in my passport without having to travel back to my consulate in my country?
4. I read the H4 approval is taking 4 months approx in the TSC. If I ask for the change of status next month and want to travel on honeymoon on September, what do I use to travel? with the receipt is enough?

Thanks

---- If you get married and want to be on H4 then you have change your status to H4 by filling form I-539 and the evidence required

-- Receipt is not enough you will need valid US visa in passport to come back
