Hi,
I am an H1B holder still in the Labor Cert stage of the Green Card process. My job situation is quite shaky as a result of the weak economy and there is no saying what might happen and when. I would like to remain in North America if possible and for this purpose would like to apply for a Canadian PR. I have the foll questions:
1. Is it legal to have two applications (one for the US and one for Canada) being processed at the same time.
2. I want to send my fingerprints to the FBI in order to obtain police clearance for Canadian PR. I will (hopefully) be engaging in a similar process for the GC process. Will the FBI notify the INS that I have already asked for a fingerprint assessment for purposes of Canadian PR and will this affect my chances for the GC ?
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
