When should one file for extension? Earlier it was before your current H1 expires you got to file before 45 days. Is there reason to do it earlier now? I have been a bit of touch on these issues, if someone could quicly answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks Ginnu.

But what I really wanted to know :

Is there a need to file it early? What if I file just 2 months in advance?

Thanks

--- Because it will take you’re company lawyer to get LCA 8-10 days +prepare papers+ then filing to BCIS
It is taking 5-6 months for H1 approval/ extension to be approved in many service centers, no harm in filing early you will have approval notice early.

if you file 2 months early that is no problem but expect your approval after 5-6 months from filing date
