Hello guys! I am on an H4 visa. I am a licensed physical therapist here in U.S. My employer will sponsor me for H1B visa this April. My question is can I work as soon as I receive the notice of approval since I am already here in the U.S.? Because if that's possible, then I could go for premium processing. From what I know if you are still in your native land, outside of U.S., then you still have to wait until September 15 before you can be issued a visa by the U.S. embassy, but I don't know if that will also hold true if you're already here in the U.S.

Thank you very much.

Whether you are in US with H4 or outside US, you are going to get a new H1 approval under quota.

All the Year 2008 quota h1B start date is Oct 1, 2007.

You can not start before Oct 1, 2007.
