H1B and H4 stamping

I hope someone can help me with this:

I receievd my approval notice for my 3-year extension today. I want to go and get my visa stamped in my passport. I would also like to get my wife's passport stamped for her H4 visa. Does she have to be physically present at the consulate with me or can I just give them her papers with mine ?

Physical presence is required for all the non-immigrant visa for the bio metrics purposes. (Unless you are a Govt diplomate)
