H1B Amended Petition and Joining Work

Hi,
An employer has applied for H1B papers( My status needed to be changed from F1 to H1.)

Unfortunately the Company Name was slightly misspelled in the H1B application and also in the H1B papers sent by INS.

I informed this to my Employer and he said He would file an Amended petition.

Meanwhile Can i work for my Employer( My Status from F1 is changed to H1 by this application) or do i need to wait till i get my H1B Amended

If your H1 is approved with mispelled name, you can always start working with copy of filed amendments.

But your start date may be Oct 1, 2005 is it correct?

Thanks for Info. No my start date is not october1. I applied in last years quota but due to queries my H1B approved recently.

But unfortunately company name has been misspelled and my employer filed for amendment.

So u r saying i can work immediately.

Yes, if your start date is on or before today date.
