H1B advanced degree questions

Hello all,
I recently got a job with Ernst and Young and I started work on September 6th, 2005 under OPT which expires on Mar 20th 2006. I am having a real tough time geting the facts right with quotas and when to file and not to file:

Questions:
1) Do I still have enough time to file under FY2005 Advanced degree quota? Do I have to start the process ASAP in order to meet the FY2005 deadline?

2) Incase filing the H1B petition is not feasible under FY2005 advaned degree quota, do I have a chance filing under FY2006? If so when? I have read somewhere that applications under FY2006 have already started being accepted? How come? I have also read that Fy2006 petitions can't be filed before March 8th 2006. If so then my case would be in jeapordy, because my OPT expired on Mar 20th, 2006.

CAn someone shed some light no this issue?

Y 2006 Quota starts from Oct 2005, you can start applying from April 2005.
Y 2007 Quota Starts from Oct 2006, you can start applying from April 2006.
If so then my case would be in jeapordy, because my OPT expired on Mar 20th, 2006.
