Assuming you are an Indian citizen, you need to apply for a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa). If granted, that will allow you to visit Canada.

How do you go to Canada (with what visa?)

Put it this way, no point in getting an appointment at a US consulate in Canada if you cannot acquire a Canadian TRV.

Going for H1B stamping to Vancouver

Hi,
Currently, I am working on OPT for the big health care company under EVC model. My OPT expires by the end of July. My H1B got approved for three years. My H1B will start in October 1, 2013. I have my masters from US. I am thinking to go to Vancouver Canada in November for stamping because I really want to go to my home country to visit my parents. I have not gone back to my country after coming here. Its been almost three years now. So is it safe to go to Canada for stamping? Please help me out!!
