H1 transfer, is previous H1 still valid?

If I apply for a transfer from employee A->B, when the transfer goes through, does my H1 status with A get invalidated?

If, after filing the transfer, I change my mind and continue to keep working for A, are there are negative consequences?

Also, I understand that I can't start working with B till I get a receipt for the transfer correct? Does anyone know how long that is currently taking?

----if employer A# does not revoke by writing to USCIS then H1 of A is valid till validity of I-94

------------------one CAN start working afterH1 transfer filing reach USCIS but better to wait for filing reciept. I know 3-4 cases Lawyer never filed on time and the person was told they sent the papers to USCIS.ask for the evidence of filing

I have a quick question to all experts. I have applied for my H1 extension and got the receipt. My current petition is expired. Now, can I apply for H1 Transfer while my H1 extension is pending? Pl. help mw with this.

Your previous H1b only gets invalid once you start working for new company. If you are still working for company A you can disregard the transfer and continue.

Your previous H1b only gets invalid once you start working for new company.
-----------------------wrong info. Previous H1 does not get invalidated once person start working with new company that filed his/her H1 transfer. Previous H1 Petition has nothing to do with H1 transfer petition. If the previous employer request to revoke the H1 by WRITING to USCIS then only H1 of previous employer is revoked by USCIS .


If you are still working for company A you can disregard the transfer and continue.
