H1 Transfer after 6 year

I am passed my 6 year limit on H1 visa. My current visa expires in Feb'08. I have approved I-140. I am planning to change employer. My question is :

Can new employer use my approved I-140 and get three year extension or should I get H1 extension with current employer and then do the transfer ?

------------------------- better do the extension through current employer and then file H1 transfer through new employer(if file with Premium processing you may get H1 extension in 20-25 days). FYI new employer can also file H1 extension if you have Copy of I-140 approval. if you have I-485 filed and pending more than 180 days then only it is safe to file H1 extension through new employer so that even if previous employer try to revoke I-140 you are eligible for AC21. I dont know your full details.
