Hi,

I have just come to US and am working for comp A( hardly 1 month) on a project, Now I have got a real good offer from another company B.I have the following queries :-

1) If I want to change jobs from A to B, minimum how many paystubs will I need to get the H1 Transferred ,assuming I dont wanna get into any complexities(play safe) and I get my paystub every 15 days.

2)How much time does it take for the H1 Transfer and when can I start working for the Employer B.

3)Are there any repercursive steps that Employer A can take to prevent/adversely effect the H1 Transfer process.

Please reply Asap.

You should have 2-3 month worth of pay stubs and you can start as soon employer B got the receipt notice for the transfer. There isn't all that much employer A can do to you, but you should still try to leave on good terms.

there shouldn't be any problems.

But these cases seem to becoming more and more frequent - come to States/move to company on your sponsoring company's dime - and quickly jump using them as a stepping stone !!
My company has stopped sponsoring H1B's after 3 guys were brought on board and quickly left for greener pastures.

You guys should think of the long term repercussions rather than quick, short term gains by these unethical practices!!

is it 2 paystubs or is it 2-3 months of paystubs coz I am paid every 15 days...so can I leave A in 1 month or will i have to wait for 2-3 months to get my payslips.......

Also if somebody can tell me that how long does it take to transfer H1, means when should a company initiate the H1 process so that the employeee can join at the earliest

You can start once you have the receipt notice. The transfer it self takes a few month. And its really not unethical to do this. If A would match the offer and pay better he wouldn't be leaving.

You can even transfer with a single paystub! All depends on how long you were in the US ... for example if you are here for 2 weeks, you will have not more than 1 paystub.

Please help me

I am working with company A as a H1b consultant, now i am planning to move to company B, for an permanent position. Company B insists for H1B transfer. Since it is a permanent postion, is there any chance fo company B to cancel my H1B later if they dont have a project, or if they dont need me.
Please help me, so that if i accept company B and transfer my H1b to them. there should not be any problem for me, Please guide me.
