H1 to F1 to H1, Quota?

From H1 to F1 (got stamped in India,H1B cancelled), then from F1 back to H1, still need quota?

I have one more follow up question.
I have just used 6 months of H1B before switching to F1. Now I am on F1 for about 2 years now.

How much time is remaining on my H1B if I switch to H1B now?

You must very careful about dates. Your F1 start from the date it approved not the date you received your petition reciept for COS.
Unless you put exact date it is very difficult calculate the days.

Here are the details:
With 6 months of H1B use, I got my F1 Stamped in India (H1B Cancelled) in July 2005. I am planning to apply for H1B again in Dec 2006.

How much time is left on my H1B ?

You used your H1 only 6 months, if it is correct, you will get your first H1 for 3 yrs and you can extend further 2.5 yrs. (Total 5.5 yrs)
