H1 to F1 advice please

Hi,

I am currently on H1 under 7th year extension(valid upto Sep 2005). I have been studying as a part-time student in a major state university since 2000. I have around 1.5 year of coursework left. I dont know whether my labor will get approved before Sep 05. As a backup I want to apply for change of status from H1 to F1 and continue the shool work.

Does anyone know how long it takes to change the status from H1 to F1?

If my labor gets approved after F1 approval then what will be my status? Can I maintain my H1 and go for next steps?

Is it okay if I dont use the F1 approval?

If your 7th year h1 got approved based on pending LC (365 days old) then your 8th yeAR also WILL get approved whether your LC get approved or not.

Thanks for your reply. My questions is if my F1 gets approved before Labor approval, could I maintain H1 status without using F1

just curious - do either of u know if after switching back to F1, completing your studies,can u get an H1 again for 6 years?
