I'll be starting my F1 opt in June'06 and applying for H1 visa after OPT is approved. How far can I push the H1 start date and still get an H1B from the 2006 quota?
Baed on the observation of last year's H1 quota, if you apply H1 around Aug, you may miss the quota this year. So, plan accordingly.
Earliest you can start with h1 is Oct 1. No exception.
