H1 Stamping Question

Hi everybody:

I have a question regarding the H1 stamping and will be grateful if the experts could give their opinions. My situation is as follows:

I have an H1 stamped in my passport. This H1 was stamped in Nov. 2002 and is supposed to expire in January 2005. This H1 was with company A. However, I moved to company B in Decemeber of 2002 which processed the transfer of the H1 through premium processing. Next month I plan to go to India and would like to know whether I need to get a new H1 stamped on my passport or not. I came across some information which stated that if I have a new approval H1 notice and if I have an unexpired H1 stamped (even if it was with a different company) I dont need to get a new (i.e. for the new company) stamped on my passport.

I will grateful if the experts could lend in their opinions on the above.

Thanks in advance,

You do not need another H1 visa stamp until Jan 2005 provided you remain in H1 status all along. You need to carry a letter of employment, ORIGINAL H1 approval notice and some supporting documents like paystubs, etc. from your new employer.

and when you enter US show your new H1 approval notice you will get new I-94 till the validity of new H1 approval notice
