h1 stamp in the passport expired

hi everyone, my h1 stamp on the passport expired on sept 30th 2008. i got my new h1 approved on sept 15th 2008. Can i go to Ottawa for my revalidation of H1 or is it better if i go to India as my H1 stamp on the passport has expired though i have a valid H1 approval (797). please advice

If you got H1 approved with I-94 attached then you can remain in US and can work till I-94 expiry date. When next time go out of US you need Visa stamp to enter US.
If you want stamping now you can get in Canada or Mexico or in India.
