Help!!! H1 Revalidation & H4 stamping in India: confusion

Hi All,

My H1 Visa with my old employer is expiring in Apr 2004. I have valid H1 papers with my current employer.
I am going to India in Feb 2004 for my marriage. So I have to apply H4 for my wife in Feb 2004 at chennai consulate.

Do you suggest me to apply my both H4 stamping & my Revalidation at the same time?

Since, i will left with two months of visa expiry date, can i skip my revalidation and apply only H4 ?

Do you see any problem here?

For H4 stamping, what really matters: Is the principal applicant's H1 visa expiry date or I-797 paper of the current employer?

Please suggest me what should I do?

Please, ginnu or any one help me with suggestions.

1. Yes, apply simultaneously.
2. you can also skip revalidation
3. H4 processing in chennai is getting back on track , come feb 2004 it might be possible that h4 turaround time might get back to 10 days. So you need to revist this Q around Jan 2004
