H1 Renewal ?

Hi ALL,

I have sent a petition for H1 renewal on August 11th 2003 , which I confirmed by checking on the web site also. But, from march onwards the website says that the petition was submitted on march 3rd 2004. I called up and spoke with my employer, they say that due to back log of work in the first center, the petition would have been moved to a new center. I am not sure whether this is okay and normal. Should I take any steps.
My H1 expired on October 22nd ' 03

Call the National Service center number and find out. If they cannot shed any light, please ask them to escalate the case to a case referral. You might have to fax a letter explaining what is happening and your original receipt notice...
 
I had spoken to my company lawyer who filed the renewal. He had sent a letter and copy of the H1 petition to the INS. He said we have to wait and see and nothing can be done. He also mentioned that if I wanted immediate result, I have to go for premium processing..
 
I checked the website on tuesday and found that my H1 petition has been approved and has been mailed on 2nd July'04. I have not received the petition yet.
