h1 renewal stamping question after 1 year

After I came to India for vacation, my employer sent me 1-year h1 extension (8th yr. based on pending I-140). I am now planning to go for h1 revalidation stamping to the consulate, but I have already spent more than 1 yr outside US.

Can anyone pls help me with these questions

(1) Will this create problem at the consulate when I go for H1 renewal stamping?

(2) If I go back on the extension, will my 6-yr clock be reset?

(3) Should I go back on the extension or wait and ask the employer to apply for a new H1 with 6-yr term?

Since your I 140 is approved, you are eligible to get 3 yrs (not one year) extn beyond initial H1 6 years period.Thanks
