H1 related query after petition is approved

Hi Everybody,

My friend is holding a valid H1 petition(which was applied while in India) and has also taken HDFC Bank slips(from India) to book H1 interview date. Now he is in London on Work Permit.
1. Is it possible for him to attend the H1 interview from London instead of attending it from India. If yes then could you please let me know the process. Or is it mandatory for him to go back to India to attend the H1 interview?

Depends on your initial H1 request with USCIS . If you would have requested London as consulate, you must go to Londan, if you did not mention any place and USCIS selected your country of citizenship as your consulate then you must go to India for stamping. Otherwise you should request your sponser to change the consulate to Londaon from Indai. It may take several months.
