A california based employer got my brother's H1 approved for 2006 -2007, however when they sent the paper to him in India, it got lost in the way. It was never recieved by my brother in India. I would like to know what can we do at this moment? What is the process of getting new papers from USCIS, and what are our options at this moment?

Thanks for your help in advance.

employer can get duplicate H1 approval.
are you sure employer sent the H1 approval notice to India?

The employer sent me the tracking number for the mail.... so I will think that the employer did send the papers.

Asssuming that they did send the paper, and the paper got lost what are the options I have at this time?

Thanks,
Amit

I also explored on various websites, and they are suggesting that the only thing that is required is to file I-824 form to get a duplicate to the original approval.

I would like to ask if that if the only required step, or if there are other things that need to be done?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

-------------------------that is correct, employer need to send form I-824, if they want you and have job for you then why they have not tried to get duplicate Approval notice??
