My friend is also in similar situation with addional issues. He got his H1-B papers approved first from US company. When he went for H1-B stamping at chennai, they requested for additional info.
His indian company sponsored L1 visa and same was approved this week. Now his confusion is pick a right option. His options are:
1. Go for h1-b stamping with requested details.
What will happen if it's rejected???? and impact on L1 visa
2. Go for L1 stamping and go work for Indian company in US.
Will his pending h1-b impact L1 stamping???
3. If L1 stamped succesfully and enter usa, would it be possible to get stamped in canada or mexico with H1-b
Guru's please help him ...

Since your case is not COS, you can not work for H1 employer without
reentering the US with H1 stamp. You need to go out and get H1 stamp.

Hi ,
I had applied for H1 this year when i was in US. I was on L1b in US.
I came to India in October and at the same time my H1 got approved.
I was planning to go to US on L1B with current company only and then after 3-4 month i would have shift to H1. In October i appeared for L1b stamping. The day of Interview consuler did not ask much and said everything OK. It means he accepted the visa. But later after 2 days i got call from consulate that i have to come for all 10 fingerprints. so then i appeared for fingerprints.
The fingerprints result will come in Dec.
So my question is what could be the reason , consulate called me for fingerprints. However i have not done any illegal activity in US when i was in US. Is there any role of H1 approval for fingerprints in L1b stamping.
Please let me know your views.
