Hi Friends,

I have a question. Could any one shed some on light on this?

My wife and I plan to do the revalidation of H-4 & H-1 end of this month in Chennai. At the same time, we also plan to apply for b-2 visa for parents. Is there a possibility that parents visa get rejected since we all applying together? I have my current stamping valid till middle of next month (July) and the new approved I-797 has a valid till middle of next year.

Please let me know what you think of this situation. Thanks a lot in advance.

Gee. that is a tough one. I dont think that your h applications would meddle with the B2s. However, you need a valid stamp, employment support letter from employer for the B2s..
I would advise doing the H visas first and then do the B2s.. Just a gut feeling. No real experience here...

Jaxen,

Thanks so much for your response. I know it is a tough question. As you advised the best option to go for h first and then b2s. Since I have time and other constraints, I think I will have to apply together.

I have the current stamp valid till July 15, 2003 and plan to apply for b2s on June 1, 2003. I just don't know whether they will reject this or not. It is tough to imagine what could happen.

Thanks again.

If you are applying for B2 on June 1, 2003, you definitely need to provide copy of the recently approved H1 to show that your H1 is valid beyond their projected minimum visit period say Dec 2003...
