H1 extension

hello,

My H1B is valid from 2005-2008, however my I-94 expires Aug 2007.
My H1B visa is stamped with Company A, then I changed jobs, got H1B transferred, and I have new Approval notice from Company B.
My question is,
1. when is the earliest I should get my visa stamped ?
2. how do you apply a h1 extension?

Visa Stamping

My H1B is valid from 2005-2008, however my I-94 expires Aug 2007.
My H1B visa is stamped with Company A, then I changed jobs, got H1B transferred, and I have new Approval notice from Company B.
My question is,

1. when is the earliest I should get my visa stamped ?

---- You can get your visa stamped as soon as you have the approval notice (I-797) provided you have taken an appointment for the visa interview in India/Canada/mexico

2. how do you apply a h1 extension?

---- You have already applied for the H1 transfer from company A to company B and also got it approved. What do you mean by extension? Or do mean extension of I-94.

The new approval notice should have a I-94 at the bottom giving you the dates of validity

---------- if I-94 is valid you dont need visa stamp if you go out of US and visa stamp gets expired then only you need visa stamp

---------- your employer/lawyer need to apply H1 extension of H1 status with USCIS before I-94 expires

My h1b visa is valid from 2005-2008. But my I-94 on passport expires in Aug 2007. what should I do to get new I-94 on my passport to be valid until 2008? (I have the approval notice from Company B and it has I-94)

The other question is, after the 3 yr period, how can I get h1 extension for another 3 yrs (I believe we can work on H1B visa for 6 yrs)

***Even I dont' knw for some reason, the officer at the mexico port of entry gave the I-94 valid only until 2007.

what should I do to get new I-94 on my passport to be valid until 2008?

***If I travel out of U.S, we surrender our existing I-94, and when I re-enter they issue new I-94. since my visa is valid until 2008, do you think I will get the new I-94 valid through 2008. or Should I necessary have to file for extension before I-94 expires. If I don't travel, I think that is the only option for me.

++++++ that seems to be mistake, if you are near to that border go and get it corrected

or Should I necessary have to file for extension before I-94 expires. If I don't travel, I think that is the only option for me.
--------- if you go out before august 2007 and enter then you can get I-94 till 2008, if not then file the extension or get I-94 expiry date corrected you need to visit the same POE where that I-94 was issued.( talk to your lawyer for more info)

---------------------++++++++++++++++ latest H1 approval of comany B has I-94 valid till 2008 attached and that is your LATEST I-94, you are in valid H1 status and you HAVE the I-94 till 2008, dont need to do anything
