H1 Extension

Hi,
I am currently working in H1B visa and my H1 is expiring Apr 2005(i have 2 more year in 6 quota). My question is, How many days before I(my employer) can apply for H1b Extension for another 2 year period? Once I get the new I797, How many days before I can apply for H1B visa stamping?
