H1 Extension, Urgent

Hi,

My H1B is expiring mid-October.

My employer is only now willing to do my H1 extension. Is there still going to be a problem if he applied by end of this week? Do I need to have approval notice in hand to be in status? What is the current time frame at the Vermont Service Center.

Would appreciate if someone could shed some light on my situation.

--- no problem if your H1 extension package reaches BCIS before your I-94 expires better send it early to BCIS and send it by FedEx so that you can track that it reached BCIS before the I-94 expiry date
Do I need to have approval notice in hand to be in status?
-- you need the filing proof, it is much better if you also get receipt that is the reason to file ASAP many lawyer take only 1-2 days to file H1 extension
What is the current time frame at the Vermont Service Center?

The company says the lawyer is taking care of it . I can only hope that is actually the case. Gosh.. this is such a pain.
