Company X applied for my H1-B for this FY-2008 and filed on April 2nd 2007, and I dont know whether my case will get selected in computer randon selection proess. Now we've a requirement where I need to travel on B1 for my current employer Y.

can a person apply for B1/B2 and H1 from two different employers at same time?
:(

Employers do not "sponsor" B-1 visas. B-1/2 visas are applied for by individuals in their own right. An individual may have reason to visit a specific employer but the employer is never a "sponsor" on the B-1 visa.
It seems company's H-1B petition for you is not yet processed. So theoretically you are free to apply for a B-1 visa. However, since you have a pending sponsorship, 214(b) may be slightly more difficult for you to overcome.

Thanx for your reply Ghori,

But I've another concern. Now my current employer forcing me to travel on L1 as I need to work for 3 months.
Do I need to reject this L1 offer?

Am I allowed to apply for L1 while H1-B is under processing?

please give ur kind suggesion.

Applicants for both L-1 and H-1B are exempt from fulfilling 214(b). So you can be an L-1 applicant while your H-1B is in the works.
