H1-B Stamping in Calgary, Canada

My husband and myself need to get our Visa stamped to be able to visit India and return to the US in October. In India, we got appointment dates for much later than we had planned for.

So - we are going ahead and visiting Canada for Visa stamping. We have no complex issues - we both have Masters degree from US and this is our first stamping of H1-B Visa.

Oh - I just lost my EAD card which has already expired, since I have been on H1 status since October 2005.

1. Is there any way to get earlier dates for Visa appointment in India (Delhi)other than going online? No dates are available online and I dont expect any cancellations that soon.

2. Do you foresee any trouble for us?

3. If anyone has recently visited Calgary, what is the processing time in Calgary?

4. Is it safe to go without the original EAD card. I have a photocopy of it. If not - how can I replace it?

Try vfs-monitor.com. Study the website and the requirements, you might get a date closer to your expectations if not the exact date

No foreseeing trouble. Just go for the visa get it stamped and be back in US

No problem, show the photocopy if necessary, and apply for a new one. Contact lawyer and visit the USCIS website for further information

---------------- for H1 visa stamping you DONT need EAD , if you have lost EAD then you need to apply for new EAD, it has nothing to do with H1 visa stamping.
