Hello,

My H1B(I have my I 140 approved in EB2.) is going to to expire in few months.
There have been no raises in our company because of bad economy for the past
2 years. For the H1B extension(with approved I 140) my Salary has to be raised by $10,000 as per the new prevailing wage but my employer is not in a position to give me raise. They are willing to do my H1B
extension with a new title instead for which the prevailing wage is less than what I get now.

Will it effect my PERM in any way in future because my extension is done
with a different job profile?

Thanks a lot

Dont mix H1 extension with I-140. I-140 is for future job that is AFTER your I-485 gets approved. H1 salary is for PRESENT job not for I-140. I dont see any problem if your employer file H1 EXT with present salary. you can talk to your company lawyer.
