H1 B Extension receipt

How long does it normally take for H1 extension receipt notice to be received? I filed for my H1 extension in Jan 2008, but still waiting for the receipt

You should have it by now. Did you call USCIS about this?

I had my company call USCIS. They provided the WAC #. I checked it online today, its approved as of April 23. But nothing in hand yet, neither the receipt, nor the approval

Most likely the company's attorney has it - if you/your company used an attorney to file the petition then USCIS has most likely sent it to the attorney's address. Maybe a call to the attorney will solve this "mystery."
