I am currently on Optional Practical Training (OPT) - F1 student visa status. I have joined a software consultancy firm and my H1-B application has been filed with the UCIS by this firm around the third week of September, for which I have received a LIN number as well. However, I have been offered a full-time opportunity by a university which is also ready to sponsor my H1-B application. I would like to know if one can go ahead and apply for a new H1-B visa having already turned-in one to the UCIS pending adjudication and will it in anyway jeopardize my new H1-B petition, which the university is about to file. Would appreciate your prompt feedback. Thanks!

You can go ahead and apply for another new h1 through the university, Since it is a Higher Edu instiute, there is no cap.
