H1-B 8th year renewal while EAD approved

Can i apply for H1-B 8th year renewal if my I-765 (EAD) has already been approved ? Reason i want to renew my H1-B becoz i never receieved EAD in mail, now INS says i should re-apply for EAD while my H1-B is expiring in December 2007.

You make sure , your H1 always get renewed on time until your I 485 gets approved.

Getting EAD does not give you any status, if your I 485 gets denied for any reason you will be out of status.
