Hi. My H1 is about to be filed by my employer. Now my question is my mother's brother had filed a petition for immigration for her which was abandoned and denied as my uncle was not able to submit certain document s in time. Should this affect my petition for h1 in any way. Thanks in advance

----NO. It seems your Mother's brother (your Mama) filed immigration petition I-130 for your mother and you may be listed on that and he could not Provide affidavit of support and Petition get denied. It has nothing to do with your H1.

Is this information necessary for my lawyer to know! or it does not concern my case. As no one filed a petition for me. Thanks for your help once again

It is best to be totally honest with the attorney. While it is unlikely to impact your case, attorneys can deal with problems far better if their clients are 100% truthful and forthcoming with potentially damaging information.

But i dont have any documents to support the original petition nor do i have the documents which says the petition will be abandoned. So did not want the unnecessary hassle. Is there any such question asked during the application for H1 like in any of the forms which asks whether a previous petition has been filed for you or not?
FYI even if any Immigration petition I-130 is filed for YOU then no problem for H1, H4 and O visa as O, H visa are DUAL INTENT Visa.Thank u for the reply people.
