I recentl changed my company and had my H-1B approved from my new employer. H-1B stamp of my previous company is valid till the end of next year. Do i need to stamp my passport with the new Company or would the old stamp which is still valid and the new I-797 approval for the current company suffice?

There have been mixed reactions to this. My Current Lawyer says its not required to stamp the passport with the new VISA. But when i called up the mumbai consulate and the VFS in mumbai, they said its mandatory to stamp the passport with the new VISA.

Any Inputs into this?

-------------New approval is enough if it has I-94 attached(lower Right side)

--------------- if you have valid visa stamp of A and got H1 Transfer for Bwith I-94 attached with approval notice then you dont need new Visa stamp with B name. you can come to US with employer A visa stamp and at POE show the valid visa stamp through A AND show the H1 transfer approval and you will get I-94 till H1 transfer approval notice. once the Visa stamp of A expires then you need new Visa stamp through B H1 approval notice
