I'm planning to get H-1 visa stamping from F-1 in my country and currently working here.
What can i prepare for it? are there lots of denial cases?
Do i need to interview or use drop off option?
My H-1 visa expired within one year, is there problem becuase of it? And i was here about 12 years w/ F-1 and H-1 visa and never been out-of-status, do they fuss of how long i stayed in here?
Becase of current situation in North Korea, do you think i will have hardship to get it? (By the way i'm from South Korea) Last my company just changed it's name. What do i have to do about it?
Thank you.

Generally US consulate will have a list of documents required in its web site. Read old post in this forum. Generally F1 to H1 is not a problem.
What is the issue expiring in 1 year? Is that the current H1 you are talking about? If you have a US degree than you should attempt to get H1 visa stamped in Canada or mexico.

Thank you fore reply..
To be clear w/ my q.
When i apply for H-1 visa stamping. do they care how long i have left for H-1? I'm affraid because i have less than a year left, they might deny my H-1 stamping.

Another q..
My company recently changed it's name..
Do i have to notify INS? and is there going to be problem?

Thank you again!

No, time left out in H1 is not an issue. Was it just name change or business change? H1 amendment might be required, ask your company lawyer.

Thank you again.
Just name changed. same company...
What's is H1 amendment? Where can i find info. about it?

Thank you advance.
