===>Summary UPDATE Tracking

I guess that is logical

If they allow 1 GB band width they have to impose a per hour limit also

Maybe you could look for another website which has no restrictions.

rjngh2000,

If it is 1GB per day then I guess we should get minimum 40MB per hour! That\'s what is looking strange to me!

Let us calculate in another way
what if it is 1 GB per month and therefore it is 33 mb per day and
if you total the usage as per their chart do u hit the total allowed per day by adding the numbers up ?

Just a thought

:)

Bandwidth problem.

rjngh2000,

You are right, some where it says that 1GB bandwidth limit is per month. As of now we are using app. 60MB per day! At this rate we can keep this site running only for half a month!

Either we have to make these pages more skinny or find some other site or pay for extra bandwidth!

maybe u could request rajiv khanna our host to allow u to host it here itself

just a thought

Summary UPDATED (02/27/2002)...

Summary UPDATED (02/27/2002)...

Changed filter mechanism for Approvals threads (ND, AP, EAD) so that we can save some bandwidth.

Also I think INS is following ND for approvals instead of RD! I just started following thread to discuss on this topic..

rjngh2000,

I agree, Asking our host for some space and bandwidth is the best option we have I guess!

Thanks

Suggestion

Suggestion, high bandwidth usage is around the late afternoon. Maybe for meanwhile we could do save page archive (as .mht) in IE 5.0 onwards, and load it from disk, because most of the links are not changing very frequently on tripod. The page that causes bandwidth overflow is mostly static links. Just store the links on ur system, and go to destination pages directly. And visit PC\'ee\'s site say once a week to keep urself updated. Any thoughts?

EEEeeeeeeeEEEEEeeeeee

Since I am officially registered now, thought I\'d post my details.
RD: Nov 1
ND: Nov 21
WAC: 02-46-***
FP Rcvd: Dec 28th
FP Done Jan 30th
FP Message resumed: Feb 1st.
EAD: Ultra Frustrated of waiting.
AP: Never applied.
AD: Hopefully today :).

Whats up with EAD people ??? Also Q about ur views. Does AD (approval) depend on a) FP resumed date or b) ND or c) PD (assuming all are current)
Thanks PCEE and everyone.

Updated SUMMARY (03/01/02)

Updated SUMMARY (03/01/02)

Tried to show cases that are added to the list "at or after the approval time" in a different color. Please NOTE that I do believe that they are reliable approvals (that\'s why I added them to the list in the first place) but some members were concerned about adding this type of data to the lists which is causing some problem in following the trend etc. So I wanted to facilitate this change.

Also note that I couldn\'t analyse each and every case deeply (I just browsed through the data) for this change.

Please let me know if you have any concerns/comments.

Thanks

Colors in Summary lists...

I thought when you see any list it is very easy to understand the color-coding I used, but it seems some need some explanation so here it is...

1. In my view GC processing is done in several steps like getting receipts, getting AP, EAD, FPs, finishing FPs, getting AOS.
2. Normally when particular step is finished it is filled with color.
3. Blue color is used to show steps before AOS.
4. If some one got FP notice but didn\'t do FP yet, then that FP step is filled with yellow.
5. Once some one gets AOS the entire record is filled with Green color.
6. Recently I started using pink to show records that are recently added (at the time of AOS, approvals).

I hope now these colors make sense.

PCee, special thanks for implementing step 6...

in your lists. I was thinking earlier of suggesting to you some way of tracking folks who report only approvals but did not want to increase your work load any more than what you have now. Thanks.

Summary UPDATED (03/07/2002)

Converted all dates to mm/dd/yy format (previously I use to carry only mm/dd). Soon I can pick up Jan,Feb 2002 data. I asked for some help in those threads to prrovide me data in updated format.

One bad news is we already used up app. 750 MB of bandwidth of provided 1 GB (this is since Jan 20) so the time is running out. I guess it is about time to ask our host Mr. Rajiv for bandwidth. I will send a note to Rajiv asking him for bandwidth.

As per tripod statistics today the counts are:
Your site had 2054 page views yesterday.
Total page views this month: 31536

Please see attached Usage diagram...

Thanks

Requested our host Mr. Rajiv for some space/bandwidth...

Just now posted a message to our host requesting some space and bandwidth to host summary pages. Here is the link for that thread...

Please show your support by posting to above thread.

Another suggestion

I am not sure if my suggestion is valid

If Rajiv Khanna does not respond or does not agree to allow you space on this board then maybe you could post your list on

two websites

a) tripod
b) some other website

We dont expect both tripod and the other to go down at the same time and maybe some users will visit tripod and others will visit the other website

But I dont know the amount of effort/time required to update two websites and if it is practical or not

However I thought maybe I could suggest this to you and You could evaluate the pros and cons.

rsrgc,

Posting to duplicate sites is not a bad idea, but the problem is in these tough times there aren\'t many that offer free web hosting! Almost every one has some kind of restrictions! Note that previously I had these pages on geocities and they closed this site saying that all the traffic is coming from one message board! I guess these free web hosting companies like novice web users who will go click on other popups etc. but probably they don\'t like the kind of traffic these summary pages attract.

By the way in the past Mr. Rajiv shown some interest in providing summary pages and was asking for some input. If it is not possible to provide us space and bandwidth, I don\'t have any problem helping them maintain their own summary pages.

In the mean time if you find out any free web hosting service (of course apart from tripod and geocities) please let me know. We can think about this option too. I am not sure if we can have two sites on tripod itself though!

Thanks
PCee

Summary UPDATED (03/08/2002)

Did some color scheme changes. For new records now instead of showing entire record in pick, updated it to show only handle in pink. Also Red for RFEs.
