Finally I-485 is approved for me & my wife on March 18th 2002. I heard the magic words yesterday. It\'s been a long wait for I-485 as I happen to be one of the unlucky April Mailer, then I got RFE on Feb\'09. But All well which ends well. Following are my details.

Approval As Per AVM : 03/18/02
I would like to thank everybody on this forum for keeping up this good work.

I wish all remaining April Mailer & RFE cases, who has gone through a lot,
get their approval soon.

Hi Friends, Finally my wait is over and I-485 cases for me and my wife got Approved.
I got the Approval notices in mail today.
I had checked the AVM today at 5.00PM (Wednesday, March 20) and it was still saying, on March 11
we received the response to RFE, blah blah,.. And for my wife it is still saying "On Dec 29,..."
I am so happy to see this happen.

looks like INS is really trying to improve their efficiency.
I believe our RFE response was sent on 03/12
thanks to this forum, I already had all possible papers (W2/paystubs/etc) ready and when the lawyer told me about the RFE I handed those to him the documents immediately.
the AVM had changed to response recd. on 03/14 (checked 03/15)
and then four more days ... approved!!!
Good luck to all the folks who are waiting for approvals. Hope everybody gets approved soon.
may try to go get the stamp tomorrow. will post experience later on.

Looks like I am very lucky.. My case as well as Fly members was approved as per AVM. Approval date is 20th March. GC process began exactly 1 year back.. Priority date was 20th March 2001. I am silent visitor of this board. When one of my friend whose ND,FP(done) was same got his approval two weeks ago, was tensed. Checked with IIO said not assigned on 03/11. Asked my lawer\'s assistant to verify again and she confirmed that my case was assigned on 03/11 (she called on 03/13, the system was not updated when i called). Every day was thinking that will be getting RFE, started collecting all the papers and keep it ready when i get it. (by seeing RFE thread was hoping even if i get RFE there will be two weeks delay). When i calledup Y\'day i could not believe the message our cases have been approved(when i tried at 5 same old message, 10 it was changed, so please try after office hours).
my case details are :

140 : 03/24 (RFE), 06/14 (AD)
485 ->
MD : 07/06/01
RD : 07/09
ND : 08/28
