My buddy from Phoenix got approved on 3/14. Got notices on 3/18. Did FP on schedule at Phoenix on 11/27. He did not care to follow the processing. Just waited for it to get approved in its own sweet time. So, don\'t have details regarding AVM message changes.

Will go next week to get stamping appointment. Apparently you need to get an appointment for stamping at Phoenix.

reached SFO INS around 900
dropped off approval notice through the mail window on Rm 200B
~15 mins - officer collected passport etc
~15 mins - called for fingerprint
~15 mins - got stamped passport

was a bit apprehensive because the guards sent back somebody from SanJose sometime last week. but looks like these guards are generic building security folks and would not really send you back. if they say "you should go to SJ" then it is more of advise than refusal to admit you. the imm. officer himself said its OK to go to any INS office.

overall was a very easy thing to do.

tips for future visitors: cheapest parking garage AFAIK is the china-town garage on the left on Kearny just b4 washington - right in front of HolidayInn - others are a lot more expensive for shortterm

for almost five hours....finally I got my passport stamped...

Hi Guys,
   I have been a passive spectator of this website. Its been of great help.
I got my I-485 approval notice in mail today. Here are the details.
    Category - EB3
    Priorty Date - Jan,2001
    Receipt Date - September,12 2001
    Finger Printing - Dec 08 2001
    Finger Printing results received by INS - Jan,12 2002
    I-485 Approval date - March,18 2002

Wish you best of luck...you will be next...i am sure....
INS has a random way of working as we all know...so just relax and let them do their work.....

My Case Info:
CSC-EB2 PD-02/00 RD-06/01 ND-08/01 FP-01/02 AD-03/12/02
WAC-01-262-5****

Checked the AVM on March 12 and heard the magic words.
I got the courtesy copy of the approval notice today (Mar 15) in the mail. Planning to go to SFO INS office for PP stamping next week. I will post my PP stamping experience here later.

Thanks for everyone for helping me through the rough time.

Approval notice says to go to local INS office and stated the San Jose INS office. Can I go to SFO office?
