Adjustment of Status APPROVED on March 13th

I-485 application for both I and my wife got approved as per AVM when I checked last night. Now I am waiting for the approval letter

Shall update as and when I move forward on this
 
PP stamped! Long story but wanted to share.......

Just let you guys know my experience.
I got mine approved on Feb25th but got the approval notice (from lawyer) only last week. I am leaving to India tomorrow for vacation.
I was left with only 2 days when I received the approval letter.
I wanted to give it a try getting my PP stamped at SFO though I am supposed to go to SJ. I went to SFO yesterday (wednesday) morning and stood in the queue for more than 3 hours. The moment IIO saw my approval letter, he said I CANT do this there at SFO, instead I have to go to SJ as the letter says so. Lucky guys those who were not questioned on this. After many many requests too, he said, though he was ready to help me, when he enquired with another Senior IIO, she refused bluntly. Ok... what to do, it\'s my unfortune.
As today being the last day before I leave on vacation, I went to SJ yesterday night at 12.30 and stood/slept in the queue the whole night. This morning at 8.15, I got my PP stamped, They gave me 6 months of temporary PR. She also said that I would receive my plastic card before then. Great relief.
All these things are only for my case. For my wife, the case is still pending as they have issued an RFE requesting TB test result as we didnt do it earlier. Some more days/weeks to go. Let us wait!!
I am just telling this not to scare you people from getting PP stamped in a different INS center than the one that is said in the approval letter. Better think more than twice before trying to take risk. But, ofcourse it is good taking risks too, not ever though.

This site is great and helped me breathing at many times :(
Special kudos to PCee, Hats off to you PCee. I know this job is really a tough one maintaining updates from everyone on time. You are really doing a good job. Hope all the waiters do get your approvals soon. Good luck to you all.

PCee: my detail update

I have some details update for my case.
FP done on Jan 03, 2002, location in Honolulu, EB1OR, China.
I never received the FP notice, however, visited the local
INS in person on Jan 03, my FP was taken and processed in
the local INS on that date. Please update my details when
you get a chance.

The AVM never updated still says old msg "... 975-999 days",
since my FP done. Any suggestions and advices?

Iam a silent visitor/reader of this board. Thanks to everyone who has posted valuable information and their experiences. It was very informative and helpful...

we received our approval notices through mail on friday, March 15th . But the message on AVM still says "on dec 29th....processing .....
Today we went to SFO for stamping . Entire process took 1hr and everything went very cool. Our passports were stamped and we were out by 9:15am

My entire greencard process took 1yr and 3months. Thanks once again ...this site has been very informative. I wish all of you a speedy approvals.

Today we went to SFO for stamping. Took bart got down at Montgomery station. Exit the bart station towards Sansome street. Walk down to Sansome and Washington st , it is 4 blocks away around 10min walk(approx).
Enter the INS building on Sansome St only. At the entrance ,there is a security check and you need to show you ID(drivers license) . Take the elevator to 2nd floor and go into room 200 and turn right towards 200B. Drop the approval notices in the drop box and you have to sit until the Ins officer calls your name . He then asks for PP, I-94, AP, EAD(if any) and takes 2 finger prints of the right index finger and 2 signatures. Again you have to wait for about 15min. He will again call your name with a stamp in your PP. This entire process takes around 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs appox. Good luck....
