Heard the magic words tonight!!!!!!! WAC-01-284-5XXXX

Man the wait is finally over. I just heard the AVM and it was updated tonight. It said that the Case was approved and the notice was mailed today.

Finally after 6 years on F-1 (MS/Ph.D) and 6 more on H-1, we got the greenlights to be accepted in this country.

My Details:
PD: 3/98 EB-3 RIR (Working in prefession not related to my degrees)
MD: 8/01
ND: 9/17/01
EAD: 11/30/01
FP: 02/02/02
Changed job on April 2nd, 2002.
RFE: 4/18/02 (Employment and Medical for wife)
RFE received 4/30/02
Approved: 5/14/02

Finally AOS cases for me and wife were approved on May 10th and May 14th respectively as per AVM. Waiting for the approvals to arrive in the mail. I am in PCee July List. Here are my details...

I-765 (EAD) : approved 11/08/2001
I-131 (AP) : approved 11/28/2001
I-485 : WAC-01-280-54xxx

FP received - 12/12/2001 (for Jan 17th, at Oakland)
2nd FP received - 12/23/2001 (for Jan 10th, at Oakland)
Early FP done - 12/13/2001 (San Jose)
Processing Resumed - Jan 12th, 2002

Approval Date : May 10th, 2002

Wife\'s case, same as above, but Approval date is May 14th, 2002.

Thanks to all the folks who shared their cases and experiences. Made my decision to go for early FP easy (Thank you sumkap for sharing ur experience). This discussion thread (I-485 CSC) helped me a lot through this roller coaster ride. Without this would have been difficult. Special thanks to PCee, rsrgc, milli, sridhars. AP approved on 12/17/2001
FP rcvd 2/2/2002, done 2/5 in San Jose, scheduled on 3/15,
on 3/11 AVM changed to "on Feb. 8th the result of FP rcvd and process resumed"
talked to IIO on 4/19 and was told case was assigned to officer on 4/10
AD - 5/14/2002

My case was approved on may 13 th as per avm. But I called on 14 th and spoke to IIO,but IIO told me to wait for another 30 days . RFE was issued on mar 22nd and I mailed the reply on april 4th and avm updated with acknowledgement on april 9 th. My long wait is over and waiting for approval notices in the mail.
