we got our approval on 8th May!!!! Imagine our surprise when we called the INS late last night around 11.pm (PST) the message was \'This case has been approved on 8th May\'.......

Thanks to all for this USeful site and its postings.
With most cases around me and Upto WAC-296- been approved, Aleast, I noticed something going on with my case after I recieved an RFE.
Here is my details; ( Not in any list, so far)

RFE sent back on Apr 14, 2002 ( lawyer fed exed )
AVM message changed on Apr 16, 2002 ( they recieved ..999 days ..bla bla )

AVM Message :485 Approved on May 9th
Need to check mail & notice with lawyer today...

Other Info: Changed residence. soon after Applying 485 in Aug 2001.
 Address Change with INS done During Finger printing time and also Sent a few FAX to INS, Not sure they Ever changed, Never spoke to IIO )

Also , Recieved FP notice on Aprill 7th 2002, ( wonderfull INS ! ) which i was supposed to recieve in NOVember ,2001. seems like the Post office returned back my FP notice to INS and then INS sends this to my new address after 3- 4 months. Since I already Did The FP in NOV from the Zerox notice I had gotten ,from my lawyer. same with my wife FP notice , We recieved on Apr 28th 2002.

I have not recieved the RFE copy so far. May be they dont send it to me. I had the old copy of the Supplement A and the other documents associated with I-693 done, way back in March last year 2001.
I showed them this RFE and The Hospital Receptionist was kind enough
to Quickly redo the Suppliment A from the Copy i had and She sealed it
in a cover and I returned it back to lawyer on Aprill 12, 2002. I hope
the AVM message changes in a week.

Many Thanks to all, I hope all pending cases new cases get resolved.

I got my approval on April 10th ( after RFE on Feb 27th ) and my details are in PCee\'s June list. For some strange reason my wife didn\'t get her approval along with me. When we contacted IIOs they just said it is still under process and gave us was plain regular useless stuff as reasons.

I wrote to my local Congresswomen on May 1st 2002. Congresswomen\'s office got back to us by email on May 7th that INS will take appropriate decision and that we don\'t need to panic. On May 8th 2002, her AVM changed to \'This case is Approved on May 8th...\'.

That\'s the happy ending on our Green Card Journey. It took a total of 1 year and 10 months ( from Labor filing to GC ). Thanks to PCee, greaty-k, rsrgc, DeeRod and all the other wonderful people I interacted in this board. I will really miss this board in future.

Today is the happiest day in my life..

Myself and my wife received the approval notices in mail today. I checked the AVM message. that is also updated to Approved. We are so happy . This board was a relief center whenever I felt bad about not getting approval This board kept our hopes high and helped a lot.

Thanks to PCee , Rsrgc , Milli and all others who try hard to keep the board in a very good shape..

Best of luck for all the guys who are in the queue. The lession I learnt is "Patience always wins at the end"..

Guys! This is a great forum for immigration journey. I don\'t know what I had done without you. Though I have been enjoying this roller coster ride would not want to take it again.
I am saying \'have been\' because IIO told me they have approved for me and my wife but not for my son yet, though it\'s a \'family pack\'. He is just 5. I did not receive my notices yet and she says they have been ordered.
Further she wants me to fax them asking for my son\'s case status. Legacy lives on.....
