Greencard and Labor issues

1) I heard from a couple of people that state processing will be gone from september and only federal processing will be there. Is this true?

2) What kind of impacts will employee(in future, contemplating worst case scenarios of rejections and queries) have if an employer applies for a GC from a branch in another state with current/latest labor processing times?

3) Also, The processing time currently in Virginia is 06/28/02. A couple of my colleagues told me that it will become faster in the next 6 months as there might not be lot of applications filed during the 2002 and 2003 slump period. Is this true?

4) Is there any minimum amount of time one needs to be on H-1 visa before an employer files for Green card?

Thanks.

1. There is a system called PERM is going to be in place. See the appropriate forums

2. None

3. No, wrong assumption.

4. No.

Where are the Perm forums to discuss its pros and cons

Jaxen,

Thanks for your reply. Can you please point me to the correct PERM forums? I didnt see anything other than Labor certification.

Thanks.
