yes.. If i was to get married to a legally permenant resident tell me how long it would apporximately take for me to receive my green card also how long would it take for me to receive a advanced parole..

if anyone has achieved a green card through this method please lend me your experiences..

Right now the wait for the priority date to become current (so the I-485 can be filed) is around 5 years, depending on birth country. It is usually faster for the PR spouse to become a citizen and then file.

The reason that the wait is so long is that the category is oversubscribed. Too many PRs want to sponsor their spouses relative to the number of immigrant visas available.
