Green Card through Half-Brother

Hi,

I know that i can apply for GC through my Halif-brother, who is having a GC in USA.

I am currently working in USA with L1-B Visa. If i went to INDIA permananently, still the GC process will be in active?

Also, do i need to work for a company in USA if i got my GC through my half-brother?

You have to wait until he becomes a US citizen. Then the process will take 13-16 years.

Is he married to a US citizen?
Does he serve in the US army?

He got his GC Last year. He is an INDIAN and he is married to an INDIAN girl. He is NOT working for US Army...

If his spouse is US Citizen, then he becomes citizen in 3 years

Then he could apply for citizenship after 4 years and 9 months with GC. Processing time is 6-12 months.
